Peter F. de Vos
Chairman, CEO

Mr. de Vos is Chairman and CEO of TVIG.  Prior to joining TVIG, Mr. de Vos served for eight years as Head of U.S. Investment Banking for RBC Capital Markets, the corporate and investment banking arm of RBC, the world's 10th - largest bank by market capitalization.  At RBC, he oversaw the firm's investment banking businesses in the U.S., and built a team that was recognized by Investment Dealer's Digest as "Mid-Market Investment Bank of the Year" in 2009.  Mr. de Vos joined RBC Capital Markets in 2001 upon the firm's acquisition of Minneapolis-based Dain Rauscher Wessels, where he had served as the head of investment banking and helped guide the firm through its acquisition by RBC.  Formerly, Mr. de Vos was with Stephens, Inc., Alex Brown & Sons and Morgan Stanley.

After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy with merit, Mr. de Vos joined the U.S. Submarine service, where he was licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Agency to run nuclear reactors.  He served aboard two submarines and also as the Washington, D.C.-based assignment officer for all nuclear-trained submarine officers.  After leaving the Navy, Mr. de Vos attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business and graduated as an Arjay Miller Scholar. 

Mr. de Vos serves on the board of the United States Navy Academy Foundation and previously served on the Board of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Trust. 

Richard H. Ector
Vice Chairman
Founder, Director

Mr. Ector is Vice Chairman of TVIG.  The experience he has gained in over 35 years of management, project management and engineering in the energy industry allows Mr. Ector to understand project details while focusing on big picture issues.  He has experience in both fossil fuel-fired and nuclear power plants in addition to the wind energy projects that TVIG has constructed.

Mr. Ector founded TVIG in 1998.  He began his career in the energy sector as chief engineer on an US Navy nuclear submarine, followed by ten years in the commercial nuclear industry, culminating as Assistant Site Director and a Senior Reactor Operator at Watts Bar Nuclear Plant for the Tennessee Valley Authority.  Mr. Ector also served for fourteen years as a diplomat with the US Department of State, focusing on international nuclear proliferation issues. 

Mr. Ector has a Bachelor of Science degree from the US Naval Academy. 

John P. Giardino
Vice President, Project Management


Mr. Giardino is Vice President of Project Management and provides overall supervision of TVIG's wind energy estimating, engineering, and construction activities.  Since joining TVIG in 2004, he has participated in the construction of over 400 MW of wind energy project design and construction and consulted on 100s of MW for various developers.  Prior to joining TVIG, Mr. Giardino worked at the National Renewable Energy Lab in Golden, Colorado on distributed generation research. 

Mr. Giardino has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado.

Rich C. Jordan
Director, Business Development


Mr. Jordan assesses the needs of developers, owners and subcontractors to ensure TVIG's services provide the highest standards of project management, design, quality and safety for our customers.  He has twenty-three years experience in operations, general management, business development and project management experience in power generation and manufacturing, plus experience in international wind power O&M and program management with wind industry pioneer Kenetech Windpower.  His proven and varied industrial experience provides him a well rounded perspective, which helps in understanding the needs of the customer. 

Mr. Jordan began his career as a Chief Engineer aboard a gas turbine ship in the U.S. Navy. He continued his service in the Naval Reserves and retired at the rank of Commander in 2006. 

Mr. Jordan has a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy. 

Shannon Posey
Director, Health & Safety


Mr. Posey serves as TVIG’s Health and Safety Director with the responsibility for management and direction over TVIG’s Health and Safety Management System at both a Corporate and Project level.  Mr. Posey has over 15 years of experience as a Health and Safety Professional.  Prior to joining TVIG Mr. Posey served as the Corporate Health and Safety Director for a large Environmental and Energy EPC firm providing international direction for multiple offices and two construction management divisions. More recently Mr. Posey's responsibility as Corporate Health and Safety Director included managing and directing all aspects of health and safety for wind energy facility construction, engineering, design and development services for over 1500 MW of wind farm projects across the United States. During his career as a Health and Safety Professional Mr. Posey has successfully implemented health and safety programs at the corporate, plant, project, and process levels in the construction, chemical manufacturing, and power generation industries. 

Mr. Posey has held Licenses/certifications through the Board of Environmental Auditor Certifications, and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. 

David Kiefer
Construction Manager


Mr. Kiefer is a Construction Manager for TVIG.  He has over 30 years of experience in wind farm, heavy civil and industrial construction.  His extensive experience in civil engineering and construction has proven to be a great asset to TVIG in the areas of constructability analysis, engineering review, planning, estimating and construction management.  He is the construction site manager for the 91.5 MW AES-Laurel Mountain wind farm project currently being built on a West Virginia mountain ridgeline.  Prior to joining TVIG Mr. Kiefer managed the construction of four (4) large wind farm construction projects totaling over 425 MW of installed capacity, for White Construction and Siemens Energy, Inc. 

Over his construction career Mr. Kiefer has held the titles of Senior Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, Construction Site Manager, and Superintendent.  He was a Licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Indiana, Kentucky & Pennsylvania. 

Mr. Kiefer holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY.
