Management Team

Richard H. Ector
President, CEO
Founder, Director

Mr. Ector is President of TVIG.  The experience he has gained in over 35 years of management, project management and engineering in the energy industry allows Mr. Ector to understand project details while focusing on big picture issues.  He has experience in both fossil fuel-fired and nuclear power plants in addition to the wind energy projects that TVIG has constructed.

Mr. Ector founded TVIG in 1998.  He began his career in the energy sector as chief engineer on an US Navy nuclear submarine, followed by ten years in the commercial nuclear industry, culminating as Assistant Site Director and a Senior Reactor Operator at Watts Bar Nuclear Plant for the Tennessee Valley Authority.  Mr. Ector also served for fourteen years as a diplomat with the US Department of State, focusing on international nuclear proliferation issues. 

Mr. Ector has a Bachelor of Science degree from the US Naval Academy. 

Tom Ziegler
Vice President, Engineering


Mr. Ziegler is Vice President of Engineering and a project manager with TVIG.  He estimates and manages project work scopes from inception through construction completion.  His broad experience covers over 35 years in the electric utility industry, managing an engineering services firm, process improvement consulting, and managing construction and maintenance organizations.  He has experience in both fossil fuel-fired and nuclear power plants.  He is currently serving as the project manager for the Munnsville wind project.

Mr. Ziegler has a Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Tennessee.

John Giardino
Vice President, Project Management


Mr. Giardino is Vice President of Project Management and is a project manager at TVIG.  He provides overall project supervision, engineering, layouts and estimating for wind farms.  He participated in the construction of the Buffalo Mountain Wind Farm in 2004 and served in a principal role at the Wolverine Creek 65 MW wind project in Idaho.  He served as the Project Manager of the Steel Winds 20 MW project in New York.  Prior to joining TVIG, he worked at the National Renewable Energy Lab in Golden, Colorado on distributed generation research. 

Mr. Giardino has a bachelor's and master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado.

Mike Ramsey
Site Manager

Mr. Ramsey has over 39 years of electrical construction experience including the coordination and direction of craft trades, training facilitator for all site labor and general site project management.  He has been active in every aspect of a construction project including: safety evaluations, field inspections, civil & electrical work, coordination of as-builts, road and access preparation, structural installations, and start-ups.  Mr. Ramsey has participated in previous wind projects as an Electrical Superintendent and is currently the Project Superintendent for the 34.5 MW Munnsville Wind Project.

Mr. Ramsey has an Associate in Business Management from Oscar Rose College and numerous training certifications from his many years at OG&E.
