FPL Energy South Dakota Wind Energy Center – Highmore, SD

The South Dakota Wind Energy Center, the state’s largest wind farm at the time, began commercial operation in September 2003.   Located on 2,500 acres of low rolling hills, the twenty-seven GE 1.5 MW wind turbines produce approximately 40MW of electricity.  TVIG was contracted to provide balance of plant services to FPL Energy.
